Bio page - About the
photographer
I love to photograph weddings!
Weddings show people at their best - and I get to be
almost a part of the family for a day. Based on two decades
of experience with weddings, I learned many things
which help our brides plan their wedding day in a way that
avoids common pitfalls --- so the event runs smoother with
minimum stress. It is an honor to assist on such a special
day.
I began photography seriously in
high school with a top of the line Minolta camera. I am a
techie at heart and soon learned every aspect of that camera
--- its capabilities as well as its limitations. The
practical knowledge I gained formed the basis for being able
to "deliver the goods" even under stressful
circumstances in my future work.
During college I worked as
photography editor performing layouts, darkroom work, and
photographing news events that were later picked up by other
publications. On a weekly basis I met and photographed
UCLA's celebrity visitors, the highlight of which was
getting to have lunch with comedian Steve Allen. In person
he was just a "normal" person and a committed Christian. I
was not a believer at the time but had been astonished by
his complete lack of a Hollywood ego. I graduated UCLA with
a bachelor of arts and went on to work in the motion picture
industry.
Today I live in Northern California
where I worked for a photo studio which specialized in
weddings, learning from the studio's successes and
difficulties. Eventually their studio closed during a
recession and I continued photographing weddings
independently. Two decades later I'm one of the most
experienced independent wedding photographers in my area.
I am easy going, I work well with people, I always
honor special requests, and take pictures that come out
great at every event.
I look forward to the chance of
working with you!
